ABOUT ANA

Leadership Strategist · Speaker · Author · Advisor

I help leaders stop second-guessing themselves by grounding them in who they are, what they stand for, and how they lead.

For over 20 years, I’ve worked at the intersection of business, human behavior, and leadership development, first as an executive in international business, then as an educator, author, speaker, and advisor to leaders navigating the moments that matter most.

My work is grounded in a single conviction: self-doubt isn’t the obstacle to great leadership. It’s data. When you learn to read it, and act from your values, your strengths, and  your authentic story, everything changes.

That’s what I teach. On stage, in the classroom, through my books, and in the rooms where real decisions get made.

From Quito to the World Stage.

I was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador, and came to the U.S. with big ambitions and a lot to prove. I built a two-decade career in international business, eventually leading as a VP overseeing marketing and customer experience across global markets.

From the outside, I had made it. But like so many high-achievers, I knew the internal story was more complicated. The self-doubt. The constant recalibration. The question of whether who I was showing up as was really who I was.

That question drove me back to school, first to Harvard and now to FAU to pursue a PhD, leading me into a new chapter of work dedicated entirely to helping other leaders answer it too.

Today I live in Wellington, Florida, with my husband Richard. My son Louie’s world is film and he’s on his way to Prague for his post-graduate adventure. And ZeeZee, our beloved pup who inspired my children’s book series, though no longer with us ,lives on in the pages of those books.

“Commit yourself to lifelong learning. The most valuable asset you’ll ever have is your mind and what you put into it.”

~Brian Tracy

My education and experience in adaptive leadership, behavioral science, adult development, and organizational development have made it possible for me to lead the transformation and empowerment of executives and teams worldwide through corporate training, development programs, virtual workshops, and coaching.

I have also created several mentoring and coaching programs and have spoken at or worked with organizations such as Microsoft, PayPal, NASA, Office Depot, as well as associations and universities around the world.

In addition, I  am the founder of the Latina Leadership Collective, where I was dedicated to changing the narrative of Latina professionals and equipping Latinas to step into their power.

Prior to The Confident Leader, I fulfilled another dream when in 2017 I authored the bilingual children’s book series “ZeeZee Can | ZeeZee Puede,” which encourages children to dream big, take action, and make a difference.

My second book, published in 20 “ZeeZee Can Make the World Smile,” received an honorable mention at the 2021 International Latino Book Awards for Most Inspirational Children’s Picture Book.

After over 20 years of experience in international business, serving in my last role as the Vice President of Marketing and Customer Experience for a European multinational company in the maritime industry, I went back to school for a second masters graduating in 2021 from Harvard University with an MPA and now I’m pursuing a PhD in Higher Education Leadership at FAU. I’m returning to my ecosystem at FAU, where I first received a BS in Marketing in 2000, and in 2014 an MBA in International Business.

My work with the Hispanic community has been recognized with the Latina of Influence distinction and the Everyday Hero Award nomination.
